Besides giving through check or online transfers, there are other ways to make a gift of your treasure to OLMC. For questions about these, do not hesitate to contact the parish Business Manager, Michelle Fischer.

EMPLOYER MATCHING CONTRIBUTIONS
There is a way to double and sometimes triple your treasure to the Church.  Many companies match their employee’s charitable contributions.  This includes your OLMC offertory donation.  It is a great way for your employer can help out community.

For more information on company matching gifts, please speak to your human resources department directly.

BEQUESTS
A bequest is a gift made to charity in your will or trust. It’s a wonderful way to support the future of the church and a way to remember the beauty of a life time commitment to God.

When developing or changing your will, maybe ask yourself if a bequest to Our Lady of Mount Carmel would make your dream come true; something from your heart made tangible.

A bequest made in your will can be a charitable gift of personal property, such as money, stock, bonds, jewelry, or property.  Bequests are easily inserted into any personal will.  Please ask your will preparer how to add a charitable gift to your will.

SECURITIES DONATIONS
A gift of your securities, including stocks or mutual funds, is an easy way to make a gift. By making a gift of your appreciated securities, you can avoid paying capital gains tax that would otherwise be due if you sold these assets. Contributions are deductible for tax purposes. There are no transaction fees or other costs and the full value of the sold securities benefits Our Lady of Mount Carmel.

IRA CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS
Much like bequests and securities donations, and IRA charitable contribution can greatly impact the future of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.  A donor age 70 1/2 or older can transfer up to $100,000 from their IRA to a qualified charity, such as Our Lady of Mount Carmel each year. A married couple who are both 70 1/2 or older at time of the transfer can each transfer $100,000 from their IRA’s for a total of $200,000.  An IRA Charitable Rollover is a tax-exempt distribution from the IRA. The amount transferred can be used to meet your required minimum distribution (RMD).

For more details and instructions on IRA Charitable Rollover donations, please visit: IRA Charitable Contribution

Bequests, securities donations, and IRA Charitable Contributions are arranged through the Diocese.  Your donation, when designated for Our Lady of Mount Carmel, will directly benefit the OLMC community for years to come.
